Water Service Line Survey – City of Stuttgart
The City of Stuttgart is working with SC&A to identify the type of water line that runs from each meter to the home. This is required under the Safe Drinking Water Act, specifically the EPA Lead and Copper Rule (40 CFR Part 141, Subpart I), which calls on water systems to locate any lead service lines.
Not every home will be visited. Homes are selected based mainly on when they were built, since older homes are more likely to have lead lines.
If your home is selected, SC&A crews will ask your permission before coming onto your property. They'll knock on your door, and if you're not home, they'll leave a door hanger.

ATTENTION:
Smoke testing will take place Tuesday, August 18th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the North Hills Subdivision to test storm drains, followed by sanitary sewer testing in the Oliver Addition at 10:30 a.m.
Residents may see fire trucks and heavy smoke in these areas. Please do not be alarmed. We appreciate your patience as we inspect the city’s drainage and sewer systems.
